Monica Solana
Mónica Solana (Master Physiotherapy, Osteopathy & Sports Physiotherapy, PhD Science of Sport) is head physiotherapist of the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation from 1995 until now. As a physiotherapist for the Spanish Olympic Committee she has attended 5 Olympic Games (Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2021) and has build up a lot of experience in working with athletes.
Since 2002 she is lecturer on Science of Sport, teaches in several masters on sport physiotherapy, training, and performance at universities across Spain and the Netherlands.
As a researcher her domain of interest lies in motor control, proprioception and injury prevention in sports environment. She has published more than 38 published papers an received a research award as the best research on injury prevention by SETRADE in 2017.
