This PowerTalk will focus on improving your differential diagnosis and clinical assessment of forefoot pain disorders in the active population, with an emphasis on recreational runners. The focus will be on providing you with a systematic approach to the assessment of forefoot pain, using an evidence-based framework. We will discuss some of the key clinical tests, and their diagnostic utility. We will also explore some of the key treatment strategies, including footwear modifications, load management strategies, targeted exercise prescription, and when to make onward referrals to podiatrists and other musculoskeletal specialists.
