Ann Cools

Ann Cools is hoofddocent aan – en voormalig hoofd van – de opleiding revalidatiewetenschappen en kinesitherapie aan de Universiteit Gent en ook deeltijds geaffilieerd als senior onderzoeker aan the Institute of Sports Medicine (University of Copenhagen, Denmark). Het onderwerp van haar wetenschappelijk onderzoek en klinische expertise is schouderrevalidatie in het algemeen én de scapulaire betrokkenheid in schouderklachten en sportspecifieke schouderrevalidatie in het bijzonder. Naast haar academisch werk, heeft Ann Cools ook haar eigen klinische praktijk in Gent.

Zij is auteur van diverse nationale en internationale publicaties over schouderrevalidatie, schreef verschillende klinische boeken en geeft wereldwijd schoudercursussen bij diverse organisaties.

Ann Cools is lid van de stuurgroep van de European Society of Shoulder and Elbow Rehabilitation en sinds 2017 mede-oprichter van het Schoudernetwerk Vlaanderen.
