Bruno Vanhecke

Dr. Bruno Vanhecke, MD, is specialist in de fysische en revalidatie-geneeskunde en tevens sportarts. Na zijn opleiding aan de KULeuven, volgde hij een fellowship in sportgeneeskunde aan het door IOC en FIFA erkende Sports Science Institute of South Africa (University of Cape Town) en deed hij ervaring op bij het plaatselijke Ajax Cape Town en het Stormers Rugby team. Daarnaast is hij sinds meer dan 15 jaar actief als teamarts en medisch adviseur bij verschillende professionele sportteams (Cercle Brugge, Basket Filou Oostende, Club Brugge, Knack Volley Roeselare etc.).

Bruno Vanhecke staat actueel aan het hoofd van de medische staf van Club Brugge en is tevens lid van het dagelijks bestuur van Gezond Sporten, de Vlaamse koepelvereniging voor (para-)medici binnen de sport.
