Eva Huysmans

Dr. Eva Huysmans is postdoctoraal onderzoeker aan de Vrije Universiteit Brussel binnen de internationale onderzoeksgroep Pain in Motion. Ze behaalde haar doctoraat in de gezondheidswetenschappen in 2021 met onderzoek rond perioperatieve pijneducatie bij lumbale chirurgie. Ook in haar huidig onderzoek specialiseert ze zich verder in (biopsychosociale) prevalidatie met inbegrip van pijneducatie. Eva is (co-)auteur van diverse peer-reviewed wetenschappelijke publicaties en geeft regelmatig uiteenzettingen over haar onderzoek op (internationale) congressen. Naast haar onderzoeksactiviteiten, is ze actief als kinesitherapeut binnen de Pain in Motion revalidatie in het UZ Brussel waar ze patiënten met chronische pijn behandelt. Verder geeft Eva ook regelmatig opleidingen en lezingen rond chronische pijn revalidatie aan clinici in binnen- en buitenland.
