Ian Griffiths

Ian Griffiths followed his first degree in Podiatric Medicine with a postgraduate certificate in Sports Podiatry, and then a Masters degree in Sports Injury. He was subsequently awarded Fellowships in Podiatric Medicine by both the Royal College of Podiatry, and the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow. He continues to publish research and also act as a peer reviewer for several sports injury and physical therapy journals. He has spoken worldwide on the topics of lower limb biomechanics and foot orthoses. He is a lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, leading the biomechanics module on the MSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine, and an adjunct lecturer at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

Ian has provided sports podiatry services to the PGA European Tour, RFU England Rugby 7’s squads, Surrey County Cricket Club, Great Britain Men’s Hockey team, AFC Bournemouth and Arsenal Women FC. He was previously a member of the medical team for the Silverstone Half Marathon and was also based inside the athletes’ village as part of the medical team for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
