Kathelijn Polspoel

Kathelijn Polspoel is Licentiaat lichamelijke opvoeding en Master in de Revalidatiewetenschappen en Kinesitherapie. Zij behaalde ook haar postgraduaat Manuele Therapie en Sportkinesitherapie aan de KULeuven. Kathelijn is werkzaam op het SportMedisch AdviesCentrum (SMAC) van UZ Leuven sinds 2008. Ze is betrokken bij wetenschappelijk onderzoek en geeft gastlezingen aan de opleiding Bewegings-en Revalidatiewetenschappen van de KULeuven. Momenteel werkt Kathelijn Polspoel aan een eigen studie met betrekking tot de ‘Return to Sport’-fase bij hamstringblessures. Sinds jaren begeleidt zij topsporters tijdens internationale kampioenschappen en tornooien, voornamelijk in de atletiek en het volleybal. In augustus 2016 en 2021 begeleidde ze als kinesitherapeute de Belgische atleten tijdens de Olympische Spelen in Rio en in Tokyo.
