Maureen Geurts

Maureen Geurts studeerde in 2020 af aan de UHasselt als Master in de Revalidatiewetenschappen en Kinesitherapie met afstudeerrichting neurologische revalidatie.

Meteen na haar studies startte ze als voltijds teamlid in Praktijk M, waar ze onmiddellijk ondergedompeld werd in de Parkinsonrevalidatie. Op korte termijn verschafte ze op die manier enorm veel ervaring met deze interessante patiëntenpopulatie.

Maureen is sinds haar kleutertijd tevens een bedreven danseres. Gedurende de jaren verdiepte ze zich in diverse dansstijlen zoals klassiek ballet, jazz, hip hop, ragga, tapdansen en hedendaagse dans. Ze doceerde ook een tijdje in diverse dansstijlen in haar dansschool.

Van deze uitgebreide danservaring maakt ze dankbaar gebruik tijdens haar therapie. Binnen Praktijk M is ze dan ook het creatief brein achter de danstherapie voor patiënten met Parkinson en andere neurologische aandoeningen.
