Roel Breugelmans

Roel Breugelmans is master in de Lichamelijke Opvoeding, gespecialiseerd in training en coaching, met een bijzondere expertise in het afstandslopen. Coach worden van uithoudingssporters was altijd zijn droom. Dit heeft hij ook kunnen waarmaken door vanaf 2009 aangesteld te worden als coach van de Topsportschool Afstandslopen binnen de Vlaamse Atletiekfederatie. Hierdoor kon hij dagelijks met atleten werken en op regelmatige basis op stage en naar internationale kampioenschappen gaan. In deze hoedanigheid werkte Roel via een multidisciplinaire setting heel nauw samen met kinesitherapeuten en artsen.

In 2019 maakte hij dan de stap naar zelfstandige coach binnen de uithoudingssporten. Via zijn bedrijf, ‘ETL – Endurance Team Leuven’ begeleidt en ondersteunt hij afstandslopers en andere uithoudingssporters: Hij begeleidt op dit moment een grote groep jeugdatleten (U19), een groep beloftevolle atleten (U23) en atleten op internationaal niveau en daarnaast ook een grote groep recreant marathonlopers, ultralopers, trailrunners en triatleten.
